THE SPORTS STOP
The Sports Stop is an interactive computer system that contains
expanded information on all of the inductees installed into the
Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame. Citations and inductee vignettes are
presented for the majority of our 439 inductees
providing greater access to the sport heritage of Saskatchewan. This
partnership with SaskTel and SaskEnergy will allow the
SSHFM to maintain our strong
education presence within the museum facility,
while utilizing technology to increase our outreach
capabilities throughout
Saskatchewan. Planned as a portable system, The Sports Stop is
available for onsite visits to Saskatchewan
schools and off-site special events throughout the province.
The SSHFM
is pleased to announce that SaskTel has confirmed a three-year
commitment (2008-2011) to support the touring of our mobile hall of fame,
The Sports Stop, throughout the province.
This financial contribution will allow us to significantly increase the amount
of outreach programming that is initiated by the SSHFM utilizing The Sports
Stop.
SaskTel was an original partner in the development of The Sports Stop so
it is fitting that they should support the utilization of this resource.
